Sergey Sudeikin, born on March 7, 1882, was a versatile artist known for his skills in painting, graphic art, and set design. He started his artistic journey at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture in 1897, studying under several accomplished artists. However, in 1902, he faced temporary expulsion fr om the school for showcasing intimate works at a student exhibition, not adhering to the curriculum. Nevertheless, he continued his studies and eventually graduated in 1909 with the title of a non-class artist.

Early on, Sudeikin actively engaged in exhibition activities, organizing shows and participating in various exhibitions. He co-founded the "Blue Rose" symbolist association and was involved in the revived "World of Art." His talents extended to set design, collaborating with theater companies in both Moscow and St. Petersburg, as well as working on murals for theaters and cabarets.

Besides his work in set design, Sudeikin was prolific in book and magazine graphics, illustrating works by renowned authors such as Maurice Maeterlinck and Mikhail Kuzmin. In 1917, he relocated to Crimea and later settled in Tiflis, wh ere he continued his artistic pursuits and collaborated on various projects with fellow artists.
