Nina Slavina
/1928-2000/
Nina Slavina was a talented artist born and raised in Leningrad. She came from a family of porcelain artists and spent her childhood visiting the factory. After studying at the Leningrad Higher Art and Industrial School, she dedicated over 30 years of her life to the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory, starting as an artist and eventually becoming the chief artist.
Nina Slavina drew inspiration from everyday life for her murals. One of her notable works was the Spring Shadows tea set, which captured the vibrant colors and beauty of nature. She excelled both as a form sculptor and a painting artist, showcasing her talents through delicate and intricate designs.
Throughout her career, Nina contributed numerous shapes and paintings that continue to be produced at the factory. In 1952, she married the talented Soviet painter Kim Slavin, and they remained devoted to each other until his passing in 1991. Although they did not have children, their artistic legacies endure.
